Christ-mas(destruction)

There had been lots and lots of debates on the holiness and/or the evil of Christmas. A lot of theologians can now proove that X-mas does not have anything to do with the Bible or Jesus Christ himself. This is mainly because the word "christmas" itself does not exist in the Bible. Neither does Santa Claus. Some historians have also proved that Christ was never born on the 25th of December.
Now, i dont care whether people celebrate christmas or not but i am worried about a few things. In Zimbabwe alone, every Christmas and New Year holidays, hundreds of people die from accidents . The accidents are not caused by anything but negligence and human error. This is caused by a certain spirit that hovers around during this time. A lot of blood is spilled. People do not only die in accidents, but the period is also notoriously known for its highest murder rates. It's either people are robbed and left for dead or it is street fighting or domestic violence. People who haven't hurt anyone before have the vigour to do it or evenmore, to kill. That is a bad spirit. Devil at Christmas. It is even more dangerous to travel especially at night during this period. And it is supposed to be a Holly-day!

I noticed that it is also when our kids are involved in adventurous but regrettable acts. Teenegers are over-excited. Most of them lose their virginity to strangers. Some start their first alcoholic drink and God knows what else. Criminal activities. Smoking. Drugs. Divorces are at the pick. Is that how we commemorate the birth of our Lord? I do not think so.

January disease is a sickness of the wallet or bank account in January when people have overspent during the christmas holiday. In January, most kids are starting school and need uniforms and so forth and the parents are bankrupt because they couldn't save any money but spend at Christmas. This is the time when many people are depressed, stressed, and getting into serious debts. Families will end up suffering soon after abserving the so called "Birthday" of the one who was sent to take people out of suffering.

Instead of celebrating, we end up witnesseing x-masdestruction. That is not the will of God for people to suffer. My word is people should try to take it easy. Do not get overexcited lest the car you are driving gets excited as well. A certain Pastor taught me and said, "Evangelist, if you feel you are too excited about something, stop it and see if you still want to do it when you are sober". Just be disciplined and stop impulsive buying. Stop indulging. Stop exploring until such a time you are not too excited.

A lot of families have fun and nice times during this Christmas Holiday. Thumbs up! Churches have powerful conferences and meetings. Powerful! Some poeple will also be more responsive to the Gospel. Lets take advantage and do more witnessing then. More praying to counter the increased evil. Lets not give the Devil an opportuniy to destroy and steal and kill in the name of Christ-mas for he is full of deceit and trickery. Allow God to give you eyes to see danger from afar Prov 27:12. God bless you all this Christmas!

The WIFE, man's Helper

After creating man, God placed man in the Garden where everything was in its fulness. God gave Adam DOMINION and the RESPONSIBILITY to tend, guard and keep Eden- (Gen 1:5). Adam did not come from Rags to Riches but the moment he was created, he was filthy rich. Even if the animals would queue before him for their names, Adam still needed a "HELPER" - (Gen 2:18).

If somebody needs a helper, it means he has a "PROBLEM". In this case, God noticed the problem and his solution was not MONEY, a JOB, CHILDREN, neither was it another MAN but a "WIFE". Therefore, the purpose of a wife in marriage is to solve Adam's problems.

As soon as she gets married, the woman has to have TOOLS to research the problem and find SOLUTIONS them. Surprisingly, Eve went out of her prerogative, instead of helping, she was busy with the fruit trees where she later met the snake. A lot of women will do that, seeking all sorts of other things. Window shopping becomes the main thing. They end up complaining to the Pastor that Adam has a problem, of which that's the exact reason for their being. When God saw the PROBLEM, he created the WOMAN not the PASTOR, Councillor or Auntie.

On the other hand, Adam should never think that it is Eve who has a PROBLEM.A lot of men think they are HELPING women. This thought is not consistant with scripture.

It is Eve's duty to find out the problems and solve them. Why is it Adam does not want to bath. Prepare for him a warm bath or do it together. Why is Adam coming back home late? Give him a special treat. Find out why? May be its the braai, or TV. There is nothing that Eve cannot do for her man so that he doesn't go out-wherever.

Don't leave this duty in the hands of mistresses (small houses). In fact dont accept such nonsense. Pray for your husband Eve. "From your mouth to the ears of God"- he will come back home. Study what he wanted there, maybe its just the simple things that you used to do when you were boy and girlfriend. Spoil him.

If the HELPER takes her position, as in the PLAN of God, marriages will be STRONG and so as our COMMUNITIES and NATIONS ultimately. "...and they will live happily ever after!!" Be blessed!

Beyond self

My own thoughts I tire of

When they tend to bland

I cannot bear the thought of them

In a weary land I seek a refreshing

I seek the creative energy of others

What is this?

If not the hopeless finitude of our wisdom

For even as I find enjoyment

In the bosom of another

I suspect my position is true for the other

Which means left to self long enough

Put a figure of time if you may

But left to our own devices long enough

We inevitably come to saturation point

Soon its decay, natural law dictates

This is true for all energy sources

Every output given length of days is exhausted

Unless of course we find a source

Apart, apart from us outside us

A well of endless wisdom and power to draw from

Uncreated, self causing, self sustaining

Have you not known?

It is impossible for God not to exist

Have you not heard?

The Lord is everlasting God

He does not faint or grew weary

His understanding is unsearchable

He gives power to the faint

And to him who has no might

He increases strength

The beginning

And God blessed them: and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. - Gen 1:28 (ASV)

This seems to be more than a bare permission but a direction and an advice to man. Having dominion over Eden, on a smaller scale, Adam was going to be able to fill and subdue it. If he managed to be faithful and able with little, his territory was going to be expanded and so as his rulership. Mat 25:14

God does not give us more than what we can handle. Just enough that we can get used to the idea of more. One has to grow, increase capacity, enlarge his/her tents for more. If Adam was able to manage Eden, he was going to see his rulership, his Kingdom expanding around the whole earth. God qualifies us for promotion.

That is how the Kingdom moves. The Kingdom of God is in motion. He who rules his spirit is better than he who takes a city. See Prov 16:32. It starts with managing one's self. You have to start by managing the private facet of life before venturing much into the public one. Then God begins to give you cities, and Nations.

The Kingdom of God is within us. Luke 17:20-21. We therefore need to pread it buy proclaiming the Word of God. This is the time. The Kingdom of God is at hand. Then God will give us more.

Vanishing Act

The skeptic will not be found
He is constantly moving in and out
At best he is trapped in a revolving door

He is appearances only
He appears to be going in
He appears to be going out

He will not accept anything
He is committed to nothing
Only to his non-committal

He cannot leave
He cannot stay
He cannot afford either

He is afraid to be hot
He will not be frozen
Lukewarm he is without taste

There is no good
There is no evil
Nothing real nothing unreal

Ultimately he must rebel against rebellion
Only to rebel against rebelling against rebellion
Endless this pointless feedback loop

And if he is not there
This time tomorrow
What of it?

Love begins at HOME

Love Begins at Home

Jesus’ command in John 15:6 has to do with how I treat my spouse and
children. For single people, it involves how you treat roommates, fellow
Christians, the people closest to you.

There is no getting around it. If I am to become the man and minister God
has called me to be, then my wife must be able to say honestly before
heaven, hell and all the world: “My husband loves me with the love of
Christ
. He makes mistakes, but he’s growing more patient and understanding
with me. He’s becoming more tender and caring. And he prays with me. He
isn’t a phony. He is what he preaches.”

But if this isn’t my wife’s testimony—if she has a secret pain in her
heart thinking, “My husband isn’t the man of God he pretends to be” – then
everything in my life is in vain. All my works—the preaching, the
accomplishments, the charitable giving, the many travels—amount to
nothing. I am a withering, useless branch that doesn’t bear the fruit of
Christ-likeness. Jesus will cause others to see the death in me, and I’ll
be worth little to his kingdom.

A middle-aged pastor and his wife came to me brokenhearted and weeping.
The minister told me through tears, “Brother Dave, I have sinned against
God and my wife. I’ve committed adultery.” He shook with godly sorrow as
he confessed his sin to me. Then his wife turned to me and said softly,
“I’ve forgiven him. His repentance is real to me and I’m confident the
Lord will restore us.”

I was privileged to witness the beginning of a beautiful healing. We can
never make up for our past failures. But when there is true repentance,
God promises to restore all that the cankerworm has destroyed.

I wish every couple who enjoys a Christ-centered marriage would rise up
and tell the truth: “It isn’t easy.” Marriage is a day-by-day effort, in
the same way the Christian life is. Like the way of the Cross, it means
giving up your rights daily. Of course, Satan knows your heart is set on
becoming more Christ-like in your home, so he’s constantly going to bring
about trials.

There is no other school as difficult and intense as the school of
marriage. And you never graduate. God makes it clear to us: Our life with
our loved ones is the pinnacle, the very summit, of all our testings. If
we get it wrong here, we’ll have it wrong everywhere else in our life.

The End of Evil

By Maxwell Taranhike

The real definition of evil is pointless pain

Deliberately inflicted without moral reason

The why of the perpetrator is without justification

For the victim it’s pain upon pain

Writhing agony upon writhing agony

Body, mind and soul

A pounding consciousness of a raw wound

O today, yesterday you stood

A bright hope for tomorrow

A promise of a turning tide

O that you had remained

In your mother’s womb

That earth had stalled its rotation

And the sun withheld its rays

No dawn to behold no day to label

Lucifer I have seen your face before

Maliciously you grin at anything that’s grim

Surely your end is coming

For the Lord says: Behold!

I am against you, O destroying mountain

Which destroys the whole earth

I will stretch my hand against you

And roll you down from the crags

And make you a burnt mountain

No stone shall be taken from you for a corner

No stone for a foundation

You shall be a perpetual waste

A judgement true a reward just is upon you

A burning lake fury of eternal flames

For evil fuels its own furnace
